Trades & Home Services Industry vertical

Word of mouth got you here. Video gets you further.

You have built your reputation on doing good work and letting it speak for itself. But the next generation of homeowners is not asking their neighbour for a recommendation — they are scrolling. If they cannot see your work on their phone, they are hiring someone whose work they can.

The problem

Why most trades & home services feeds don't work.

01

Word of mouth has hit a ceiling

Referrals got you to where you are, and they still matter. But there are only so many people your existing customers know. You need a way to reach the homeowners who have never heard of you — and right now, they are finding your competitors on social media instead.

02

You look the same as every other tradie online

White ute, logo on the side, a few photos of finished jobs on Facebook. Every trade business on the Gold Coast looks identical online. There is nothing that shows why your work is different, why your clients keep coming back, or why you care more than the next bloke.

03

Photos cannot show the quality of your work

A photo of a finished bathroom looks fine. But it does not show the waterproofing you did properly, the tiling that took three days to get perfect, or the client's face when they saw it for the first time. Video shows the craft, the process, and the result in a way a photo never will.

04

Younger homeowners search social first

Millennials and Gen Z are buying houses on the Gold Coast. They do not use the Yellow Pages or even Google the way their parents did. They search TikTok and Instagram for local tradies, watch their work, and DM them directly. If you are not there, you do not exist to them.

05

You do not have time to make content yourself

You are on site by 6am and you are not finishing until dark. The last thing you want to do is pull out your phone and try to make a video. You need someone who shows up, films the work, and handles everything — so you can keep doing what you are good at.

Content ideas

What they say

Real results from real businesses.

I was sceptical about video for a building company. Six months in, we're quoting jobs that came directly from Instagram. The content pays for itself every single month.

FAQ

Common questions about trades & home services video.

Yes. We have seen it firsthand with Coastal Building Co — six months of consistent video and they are quoting jobs that came directly from Instagram. Homeowners want to see your work, your process, and your team before they call. Video gives them that.

Most tradies say that at the start. The good news is your hands and your work are the real stars. We film the build, the tools, the transformation — you do not need to do a piece to camera unless you want to. Over time, most people get comfortable and we ease into it.

Carefully and with respect for your site rules. I carry my own PPE, I stay out of the way of the work, and I check in with the site supervisor before I start. I have filmed on building sites, in roof cavities, and under houses — I know how to stay safe and get the shot.

Every trade has visual moments — you just stop noticing them because you see them every day. A sparkie pulling cable, a plumber soldering a join, a painter cutting a perfect line. These are satisfying to watch and they showcase your skill. We find the visual story in every job.

Starter gives you two videos, Growth gives you six, and Scale gives you twelve. Each one is planned, filmed on your job site, edited, and delivered ready to post. You focus on the work — I handle the content.

No. The best footage comes from real work in progress. I film while you work and we grab a few quick pieces after if needed. You lose maybe ten minutes of your day, tops.
